We've all got our own Birthday, but did you know that you

share a Middleday with each and every person you know?

That's right!  Every friend, every family member, every co-worker, in fact everyone that you'll ever meet shares

Middleday with you!  And just what, you may ask, is a MiddledaySimply put, it's the day that's right in the middle, halfway between your birthday and the birthday of anybody else you know; a day the two of you can call yours and yours alone to acknowledge and celebrate your friendship, renew past ties, or simply say, "Congratulations!"

Find your Middleday today to find a whole new reason to celebrate tomorrow!

                              The Middleday Formula

The Middleday Formula was devised as an easy way to calculate the Middleday between any two birthdays.  Just follow these simple steps and you'll be on your way to discovering your own Middleday in no time at all:

  • Write your birthdays numerically
  • Add your days to your days and your months to your months and divide each result by 2

This may be your Middleday already!  But if you've ended up with a fraction or two in your averages, read on for what to do.

If your month average has a fraction:

    • If your day average is more than 15, round your month average up and subtract 15  from your day average
    • If your day average is 15 or less, round your month average down and add  15 to your day average

If your day average has a fraction:

    • Round your day average up if you've rounded your month either way; round your day average down if you have not

Congratulations!!!  You've found your Middleday*Now that you've found what you share, share what you've found!  Let someone know the Middleday  you found today and find a whole new reason to celebrate tomorrow!

    Middleday of the Moment

The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray (as do the men themselves on occasion).  Let's see when golf legend Tiger Woods and bad boy actor Charlie Sheen can rethink their 'best laid plans'.

No need to be close friends to share a Middleday;  in fact some folks may wish they'd never met.  Let's see what day Kanye West can set aside his Beyonce obsession long enough to allow Taylor Swift a chance to celebrate the date they share.

Out with the old and in with the new!  Not that we'll ever think of Paula Abdul as old, although we can almost always expect something new from Ellen DeGeneres.  Let's see what else these two can share besides a seat at the judge's table on American Idol.

    Paula Abdul & Ellen DeGeneres

While we're at it, let's take a look at the last two men standing (or should we say singing) on this year's American Idol.  On what day can finalists Adam Lambert and Kris Allen get together and celebrate their achievement?

Still confused?  Here's a few examples of some famous folks and the Middleday they  share.  Let's start with an easy one with no fractions, but lots of friction - one of America's  favorite non-couples who argue like they should be one, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul:

    Example 1 - No Fractions - Paula & Simon

     Month

     Day

    Paula Abdul

     6

    19

    Simon Cowell

     10

     7

    Add 'em up

    Divide by 2

      8

     13

    Their Middleday

     8

     13

So Paula and Simon share August 13 as their Middleday

Getting the hang of it?  Let's try one now where you have a fraction in your month average and a day average that's greater than 15.  In 'Grease', they were 'electrifying', but what day can  Danny-John Travolta and  Sandy-Olivia Newton-John elect to call their own?

Example 3 - Month Fraction Only - John & Olivia

    Month

    Day

    John Travolta

     18

    Olivia Newton-John

     7

So John and Olivia share June 7 as their Middleday

Time to see what to do with fractions in both day and month averages, although there's nothing average about dynamic tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams.  Let's see what day these amazing sisters can step off the court and share the 'love':

    Example 5 -Month & Day Fractions-Venus & Serena

    Venus Williams

     6

    17

    Serena Williams

     26

    Add 'em up

     43

    Divide by 2

    Round Month Up

    (subtract 15 from day)

    Round Day Up

    (month had fraction)

     8

    Their Middleday

So Venus and Serena's Middleday is  August 7

     What's

     Your  Middleday?

Ready for another?  Let's find the day that the new Star Trek's Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) and Mister Spock (Zachary Quinto) can celebrate their 'Enterprise'

Chris (KIrk) Pine & Zachary (Spock) Quinto

    Their Middleday 7 14

So Chris and Zachary can celebrate their Middleday on July 14

Simple enough? Now let's see what happens when you have a fraction in your day average.  Although there was no friction between them, their 'malfunction' will always be one of live TV's most memorable moments.

Let's see what day Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake can  call their own personal 'halftime':

Example 2 - Day Fractions Only- Janet & Justin

    Month

    Janet Jackson

    Justin Timberlake

     23

So Janet and Justin share March 23 as their Middleday

Piece of cake, right?  Just to make sure, let's see what happens with a fraction in your month average and a day aveage that's 15 or less.  Remember, you don't have to be a couple to share a Middleday; you don't even have to get along all that well.  Let's see what day Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner (or at least their alter-egos Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom) can put aside their differences and get together to celebrate:

Example 4- Month Fraction Only - Johnny & Orlando
    Month  Day
    Johnny Depp 6  9
    Orlando Bloom 1 13
    Add 'em up 7 22
    Divide by 2 3.5 11

    Round Month Down

    (add 15 to day)

     3 26
    Their Middleday 3 26

So Johnny and Orlando share a March 26 Middleday
